

The approach to neck pain is to locate its underlying cause. This begins with a complete case history and thorough examination. Special attention is given to the structure and function of the spine, and its affect on the nervous system.
There are several causes of low back pain. Low back pain can be very debilitating. Most people in the world suffer low back pain from over lifting, twisting, mis-stepping, bending or something as simple as getting out of a chair.
Most people recover fine from their initial back pain episode on their own. When these episodes occur more often or last longer, there is usually a reason. Left alone, your lower back pain may become much more intense. 90% or more of back pain patients will regain normal function with physical therapy treatment.
We offer several approaches to treating back pain; one being the McKenzie approach. The McKenzie approach utilizes treatment of posture, gain motion of the spine, and mechanically reducing disc pressure. Our therapists have been very successful with this approach at Twin Rivers Physical Therapy.
Scoliosis is a lateral curve of the spine. The most common cause of scoliosis is idiopathic (unknown). Treatment methods include exercise, orthotic treatment and surgical treatment. Here at Twin Rivers Physical Therapy we utilize the Pneu-Back Chair to assist in the treatment of scoliosis. The Pneu-Scoliosis system utilizes the following seven step approach to diminish scoliotic curves.
